In the Spring of 1637, the Reverend Peter Prudden joined with the Reverend John Davenport, the Eaton

brothers and some other soon to be religious refugees in jolly old England.

In preparation for the long journey across the Atlantic from England to Boston, the Reverend Peter Prudden seriously dry-hopped a Pale Ale, enough so it could survive the trip to India, with mosaic, citra, and galaxy, or what he referred to as the holy trinity of hops,  The combination of the action of the waves and the heavenly hops made this an otherworldly (India) pale ale, not just a beer for the new world.

Magically his stock of beer survived the voyage and when he moved to found the city of Milford in the fall of 1639, it is rumored that because of his scrumptious suds, he was able to barter beer for votes, thus getting elected the head of his new home town.  While no one can prove that this story is 100% true, no one can prove that it isn’t.  The Reverend P-Cubed pays homage to our fearless forefather, and the magical potion he devised… or didn’t.
